Network Polish Kit is a website dedicated to helping you, scientists and those who work in the Bio Industries, learn to network and find the best company and jobs for your talents and skills. You have so much to add to the world.
I’m Connie Hampton and I help you learn to network powerfully to find your next career step, mentor, or business partner.
Today the average time in a job is about 5 years. Sometimes the companies don’t last that long. Most graduate schools don’t teach networking skills and we are left trying to figure it out by ourselves.
Job search is hard work and scary, especially if you don’t have a plan or you don’t start until after your last job is over. It takes far longer than you expect and you need help staying buoyant in the process.
I’ve done this enough job search over the years that I started to study the process – what works, what doesn’t and how have things changed in the last 10-15 years. I’ve learned that a job search really is a sales job but you only need to make one sale (every few years).
On the other hand, you do need to be marketing (networking) all the time. When I found a job as a recruiter, I found my passion. So, of course, I’m constantly networking and marketing to find new clients, new openings and new candidates.
I’ve honed the process of job search networking and personal branding and marketing. I’ve helped the many great people learn how to find jobs. Many have gone on to find each sequential step in their careers – using the skills they learned from this course.
My method can make both job search and other career networking much easier and it is easy to learn (although it still takes work and time).
Imagine the relief of knowing that you have a plan you can use. You will take control of your career, learn the ways to build your particular career network and maintain it, use it to find jobs, partners, mentors, etc. for yourself and others in your network.
“Connie is refreshing! She directly gave me advice where it took me a month of research by reading books on networking. I wish that I had talked to her at the start of my process. It would have saved me much time. She is one of the few that offers complete solutions to a career search and I highly recommend talking to her. She is very personable yet cuts through the fluff and does not waste your time. I am looking to working with her more in the future.”

Andrea
“I had contacted Connie when searching for jobs and I was very impressed with how quickly she responded. She took the time to explain and guide me through the process and gave me meaningful insights on how to go about finding a job that I want. She is someone I would recommend to all my colleagues.”

“Remarkably thoughtful, generous and wise. She received a cold call from me when I was just starting a search, and patiently guided me through realities of finding employment — most of which had nothing to do with her recruiting services or that of any other headhunter. Though we had never met, her genuine concern was helping me out, not scoring a new client. Not many people would do that. And it worked. Excellent advice.”
